About The Position

At Nebraska Medicine, we are redefining what exceptional heart and vascular care looks like—where innovation, access, and outcomes meet. We are seeking a Director of Operations, Heart & Vascular Services to lead and elevate a dynamic portfolio spanning outpatient cardiology clinics, non-invasive cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and other cardiology services at all Nebraska Medicine campuses in Omaha. This is a rare opportunity for a strategic, people-centered leader to shape the future of ambulatory cardiovascular care, partner with nationally recognized clinicians, and drive growth that brings high-quality, patient-first heart care closer to the communities we serve. If you thrive at the intersection of operational excellence, clinical collaboration, and bold vision—this role was built for you. In this role, you will oversee a multi-site, multi-disciplinary, ambulatory, and community hospital cardiology footprint with meaningful operational complexity and significant opportunity for growth. You will serve as a trusted partner to physician leaders and multidisciplinary teams—translating strategy into execution while advancing access, performance, and patient experience across the continuum of care. As part of Nebraska Medicine’s Heart & Vascular program, this position offers true enterprise visibility, the ability to influence system-wide ambulatory strategy, and the platform to build, scale, and innovate programs that matter—clinically, operationally, and to the communities we serve. Nebraska Medicine is making a deliberate investment in the future of Heart & Vascular Services—expanding access, strengthening operational infrastructure, and bringing high-quality cardiology care closer to where patients live and work. This moment calls for a leader who can harness momentum, unify teams across sites, and translate vision into measurable impact. The Director of Operations will step into a role with executive support, clinical partnership, and a clear mandate to shape what’s next for outpatient and community-based cardiology. Direct, plan and coordinate the operation of multiple outpatient clinics within a family medicine, internal medicine or specialty care setting.
