Director of AI Enablement

Chamber CardioWashington, DC

About The Position

Chamber is looking for a Director of AI Enablement to accelerate how the organization identifies, adopts, and gets real value from AI. This role reports to the Chief of Staff and sits close to the center of the business, working across clinical, product, operations, and data teams to connect the dots and move Chamber forward. The role begins as a high-powered individual contributor, building credibility and understanding of Chamber's operations, with the potential to transition into a Product, Operations, or Provider Network role within 18-24 months. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, collaborative, takes initiative, drives decisions, and can clearly explain complex ideas to diverse audiences, with a strong emphasis on careful handling of patient data and clinical trust.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in strategy, operations, or technology leadership in healthcare, digital health, or value-based care.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives from start to finish.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, able to articulate value propositions to diverse stakeholders (cardiologists, engineers, payers).
  • Analytical rigor: ability to build structured frameworks, pressure-test assumptions, and defend reasoning.
  • Experience driving organizational change in environments where influence is key.
  • Hands-on experience evaluating and working with AI vendors and tools, including running meaningful pilots.
  • Care and thoughtfulness regarding patient data, clinical trust, and responsible technology use.
  • Experience at an early-stage startup or building a new function within a larger organization, operating in a resource-constrained, flexible environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HIPAA and the regulatory environment for AI in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain Chamber’s enterprise AI roadmap, partnering with Product and Engineering on prioritization and identifying, evaluating, and driving adoption of AI solutions.
  • Develop the analytical framework for evaluating AI's impact, defining key metrics (process efficiency, time savings, clinical impact, cost avoidance), establishing baselines, and connecting AI adoption to business value.
  • Collaborate with Product and Data to bring AI tools to life, managing the process from idea to pilot to adoption.
  • Educate the organization on AI, facilitate experimentation, and foster understanding and embrace of AI.
  • Define and build the governance framework for responsible AI deployment, ensuring tools are reviewed, monitored, and meet high standards.
  • Work with InfoSec, Clinical, and Compliance to protect patient privacy and conduct risk assessments for new AI capabilities.
  • Support Chamber’s broader strategic agenda, including market positioning, vendor relationships, and partnership development.
  • Represent Chamber's external point of view on AI in discussions with health systems, payers, and technology partners.
  • Help shape Chamber's internal and external communication strategy regarding AI.
