About The Position

Agfa HealthCare, a division of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, is seeking a Director of AI Engineering & Enablement to lead the transformation of its R&D organization. This role will focus on integrating AI-assisted tools into the entire software development and delivery lifecycle, aiming to improve productivity, quality, and team member experience within a regulated environment. The Director will lead by example, through partnership, coaching, and hands-on engagement, ensuring AI adoption is scalable, compliant, and sustainable. This is a hands-on leadership role, not solely focused on policy or tools, requiring deep software engineering credibility to drive measurable improvements. The successful candidate will stay at the forefront of AI technology, ensuring the highest ROI advancements while establishing standards, financial, safety, and security guardrails in an ethical manner. The goal is to fundamentally change how global R&D teams design, develop, test, document, and deliver software products, making AI a default, trusted capability across the entire lifecycle.
