About The Position

Coral Care is a rapidly scaling Series A platform that simplifies in-home pediatric therapy for families and ensures financial sustainability for clinicians. We provide the essential infrastructure for their practices and are expanding nationwide. Analytics and AI are central to our decision-making, operational speed, and the development of a scalable in-person marketplace. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic influence, focusing on the application of data and AI across the company, from executive reporting and automated workflows to operational systems. You will collaborate directly with the Cofounder and COO and work across all company teams. This Director-level position is for an individual skilled in SQL, workflow automation, AI bot deployment, team leadership, senior executive influence, and data storytelling. In our early-stage environment, you will leverage AI to enhance speed, efficiency, and impact.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience building at the intersection of analytics, data science, and operations, preferably in marketplace or startup environments with significant autonomy.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Proactive in identifying business opportunities and developing strategies to achieve them.
  • Technical ability to move from concept to working system without extensive engineering support.
  • Rigorous analytical approach with a focus on data quality, methodology, and interpretive honesty.
  • Strategic thinking regarding marketplace mechanics and downstream consequences.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex information into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills focused on developing people while ensuring accountability for results.
  • Comfort operating lean in an early-stage environment and using AI to extend capacity.
  • Mastery of SQL and Snowflake.
  • Fluency with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Metabase).
  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI tooling, including workflow automation and API integration.
  • Track record of building automations that connect internal processes to external APIs and vendor systems.
  • Strong written communication and data storytelling skills.
  • Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior analysts or data professionals.

Nice To Haves

  • Python proficiency for data processing, pipeline automation, and LLM application development.
  • Google Apps Script experience for Sheets-based automation.
  • Background in strategic finance or FP&A, including business case modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data (claims, credentialing, payer data).
  • Early-stage or growth-stage startup experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic analytics function end-to-end, including defining key questions, building reliable data infrastructure, developing tools for problem identification, and translating results into business decisions.
  • Define and maintain core business metrics, dashboards, and the executive reporting suite.
  • Lead open-ended analytical projects across supply, demand, clinical operations, finance, marketplace matching, acquisition, and other business growth areas.
  • Build and manage the BI and data visualization layer, ensuring insights are accessible across teams.
  • Partner with the COO on strategic FP&A modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development.
  • Act as the company's analytical conscience, identifying potential second- and third-order effects of decisions.
  • Deeply understand marketplace dynamics and build analytical frameworks to model the impact of changes in supply, demand, pricing, matching, or geography.
  • Own marketplace health metrics such as match rates, provider utilization, demand coverage, and funnel conversion.
  • Model the secondary and tertiary effects of operational changes and provide strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team.
  • Identify structural imbalances in supply and demand across geographies, specialties, payers, and patient segments.
  • Support market expansion decisions with rigorous data analysis.
  • Build AI-powered systems to enhance operational speed and intelligence, focusing on automating bottlenecked human efforts.
  • Define and execute an AI and automation roadmap, prioritizing high-leverage operational needs and collaborating with the engineering team.
  • Develop LLM-powered workflows to automate tasks in operations, credentialing, RCM, and clinical support.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with external vendors, APIs, and data sources.
  • Evaluate and deploy AI tooling to extend team capacity without increasing headcount.
  • Inform product development by identifying opportunities for AI-powered features to improve user experience.
  • Manage a team of two, acting as a player-coach responsible for execution and team development.
  • Set analytical standards, review frameworks, and establish development priorities for direct reports.
  • Create leverage through delegation while maintaining accountability for quality and output.
  • Foster a team culture that balances rigor and speed.
