About The Position

Heads Up Technologies is seeking a strategic and results driven Director of Aftermarket Sales, Business Aviation to lead sales activities for aftermarket products and services. This leader will develop and execute sales strategies, guide the aftermarket sales team, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable revenue growth in partnership with marketing, product management, engineering, and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in market or customer facing roles, including three to five years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the aviation industry, specifically selling to the business aviation market.
  • Proven record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with strong execution skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and aftermarket products and services.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, including Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% for client meetings and industry events, including international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement aviation aftermarket sales plans that support company objectives and revenue growth.
  • Identify market opportunities and industry trends to expand sales and strengthen market position.
  • Create and manage sales plans, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop pricing strategies and proposals aligned with market conditions.
  • Present business cases for new sales opportunities and product development initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, train, and evaluate the aftermarket sales team while fostering empowerment, autonomy, and accountability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including airlines, MRO providers, and business jet operators.
  • Set the standard for exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Manage the sales pipeline in Salesforce to support accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Develop and manage the revenue outlook and forecast.
  • Oversee the aftermarket sales budget and allocate resources effectively.
  • Generate pricing models and business cases.
  • Partner with marketing, product management, and engineering to advance sales initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance and communicate strategy, progress, and results to executive leadership.
  • Contribute to the product management process and help shape product strategies that address market demand.
  • Communicate market requirements and the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders.
