About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Aftercare and Independent Living to join our team. Starting Salary: $75,000 (Annually) We are seeking a Director of Aftercare and Independent Living to join our team. Your role will be working with community partners and team members to meet the needs of children and families. This position executes the implementation of evidenced based/informed practice and program initiatives as related to assigned teams, programs may include Kansas Strong, Kansas Practice Model and others, within the organization. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with other team members and report to our Deputy Director of Kansas Permanency Services – Area 5.

Requirements

  • Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of management or leadership experience and 5 years of child welfare services and the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas is required.
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening
  • A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and implement evidenced based/informed practices provided by each team
  • Analyzes and assesses fidelity to program practices, using advanced knowledge in the area of child welfare arena
  • Collaborates with the performance excellence department to monitor, track and report statistical data on outcomes of identified programs
  • Provides training, follow-up, and ongoing coaching, mentoring and consultation throughout the Team as it relates to adopted programs and practices
  • Delivers quality customer service and develops relationships with community partners, and orients them to the organization’s practices and initiatives
  • Serves on program and system improvement committees and takes an active role in the strategic planning, development and implementation of program practices
