About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Resident Services – Independent Living to help lead our Independent Living community by creating a welcoming, engaging, and supportive environment for residents. In this role, you will serve as a key leader and advocate for residents, coordinating services, fostering meaningful connections, and ensuring each resident experiences the highest level of satisfaction and independence. This position is ideal for a compassionate and organized leader who enjoys building relationships, supporting seniors, and coordinating services that enhance residents’ quality of life and independence. Pay starting at $23.00/hour, with the opportunity to earn more based on experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented approach

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification and First Aid training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and their families.
  • Foster a welcoming, respectful, and supportive community environment.
  • Participate in welcoming new Independent Living residents.
  • Lead monthly Fireside Chat meetings and gather resident feedback.
  • Support and coordinate Dynamic Living programming and resident activities.
  • Monitor resident service needs and assist in identifying appropriate support within the Country Meadows continuum of care.
  • Assist the Executive Director with the day-to-day operations of the Independent Living building.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure services meet resident expectations.
  • Attend staff meetings and support continuing education initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinate apartment turnover with housekeeping and maintenance when units become vacant.
  • Prepare apartments for new residents including welcome materials and move-in readiness.
  • Assist with move-in day coordination, orientation, and resident introductions.
  • Complete Customer Activity Profiles for new residents and share with the activity team.
  • Maintain open communication with residents, families, and team members.
  • Respond appropriately to resident illness, injury, or emergencies.
  • Promote resident and co-worker safety by identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Maintain resident records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
