About The Position

St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is seeking a director to oversee the daily operations of the school’s after-school care program and summer care programs. This is a year-round, part-time position working with students K-8th grade. We are looking for someone who will create a nurturing learning environment and has a passion for hands-on activities and inquiry-led learning. The director will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences in after-care and summer care that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. We are looking for someone who will collaborate with school leadership, staff, and families to create a program that reflects and supports the holistic development of each child. This is a grant-funded position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, child development, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting
  • Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficient usage and integration of technology in the classroom setting
  • Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training
  • Commitment to upholding and modeling the values and teachings of the Catholic Church
  • CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)
  • Must have or willing to take Virtus – Protecting God’s Children Training

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
