About The Position

The Division of Advancement and Alumni Engagement at Emory University utilizes resources, technology, and business for the purpose of constituent engagement, donor research and solicitation, and stewardship throughout Emory University and Health Systems. Their mission is to inspire and steward meaningful, lasting relationships that elevate engagement and giving to fulfill Emory’s mission to serve humanity. The Technology and Innovation (T&I) team serves as the technological engine for Advancement and Alumni Engagement (AAE), ensuring that technology investments, data infrastructure, and innovation capabilities are aligned with divisional goals. The Client Experience team acts as the tactical bridge between business needs and operational solutions, interacting with other AAE departments and heavy AAE technology users to provide seamless, intuitive, and supportive experiences. This role leads the Client Experience team, ensuring AAE teams have a dedicated advocate who understands their needs and can translate them into valuable solutions. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President, Technology and Innovation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and five years of experience in administration, fundraising, alumni engagement, fundraising campaigns, or related experience.

  • Experience leading teams, working independently as well as collaboratively to achieve goals, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Prior experience in administrative management, advancement, fundraising, campaign, alumni engagement, non-profit, or a university setting.
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Directs special projects for a department, school, unit, or program in Advancement and Alumni Engagement.
  • Manages and helps develop the strategic planning processes and oversees progress toward achieving project goals for a specific unit.
  • Develops and administers project budgets.
  • Participates in the identification of funding sources, initiatives and strategies.
  • Prepares communication documents for articles, reports, and/or presentations.
  • Develops short and long term project goals and objectives.
  • Represents and promotes projects at speaking engagements and with various constituencies.
  • Conducts research, analyzes data and identifies and summarizes trends.
  • Develops and prepares reports.
  • Serves as a liaison with other university departments.
  • May supervise staff.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
  • Manage high priority, division wide projects in support of AAE strategic goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team while providing direction and oversight on team priorities, workload, and professional growth.
  • Oversee the team's work as product owner partners for tools and technology utilized across AAE including gathering functional requirements, facilitating technology governance, and representing users in the T&I Agile delivery processes.
  • Represent the department or serve as primary contact working with other departments across the division/University.
