About The Position

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced nursing leader to join their team as the Director of Acute Care. This role involves guiding clinical operations, supporting nursing and ancillary staff, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality emergency care. The Director will oversee departmental performance, champion regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of excellence throughout the Acute Care Departments. St. Mary's is a 229-bed acute care hospital with over 125 physicians across various specialties, committed to delivering exceptional care to the community for over 100 years.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in State of Oklahoma
  • BLS required
  • BSN required
  • Minimum three years of nursing full-time experience in an acute care setting
  • Two to four years critical care experience required
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates skills as a leader and ability to make decisions without direct supervision
  • Computer skills (Microsoft word, excel, power point, etc.) required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Ability to keep team focused on goals/timelines
  • ACLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the clinical, operational, and administrative management of inpatient acute care units to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Providing clinical leadership and role modeling respectful, constructive, interdisciplinary, and collaborative communications, critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Ensuring the overall operation is in compliance with policies and all relevant Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies, and TJC standards.
  • Guiding and supervising department managers, managing employee performance, assuring accountability and competency, and facilitating employee success through developing employee goals for educational and professional development.
  • Performing all duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
  • Leading a high-performing Acute Care Department team in a fast-paced environment.
