Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University in Nursing Required
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, commits to working towards master’s within 1 year of hire Required
  • 7-9 years experience in nursing including 5 years in a leadership position Required
  • Knowledge of systems theory and ability to apply it to operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups in a wide variety of settings.
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills, do strategic planning and project management.
  • Ability to analyze operational systems and fiscal reports.
  • Skills in negotiation and problem solving.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of Nebraska Upon Hire Required

  • NE-BC - Nurse Executive Preferred
  • NEA-BC - Nurse Executive, Advanced Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directs and implements the planning and program development for acute behavioral health services.
  • Provides clinical and operational leadership for acute behavioral health services to ensure high quality care coordination and operational systems, in collaboration with the medical director of the department(s).
  • Standardizes and delivers high quality of clinical care and outcomes and supports the development of the strategic plan.
  • Works collaboratively with other behavioral health leaders, hospital, physician and nursing leaders to create a cohesive, quality driven behavioral health service line.
