About The Position

The Director of Accounts Payable Operations oversees end-to-end P2P (procure-to-pay) workflows, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor management. This strategic role leads AP teams, drives technological and transformational process improvements, maintains robust financial misstatement and anti-fraud controls, and reports to senior finance leadership.

Requirements

15+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with 5+ years in senior management or director-level capacity.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Expert knowledge of complex financial policies, modern e-payment environments, and ERP implementations.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop a mid-to-large sized AP team, setting clear performance benchmarks, objectives and key results, and operational goals.
Continuously evaluate and streamline AP policies, operating models, and workflows to support organizational growth, transformation, and efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal audit and SOX requirements, and corporate disbursement policies.
Act as the primary escalation point for operational concerns, supplier disputes, and cross-functional payment issues.
Partner with IT and Finance to leverage ERP software (e.g., Success Factors and SAP) to automate invoice ingestion, matching, and disbursements.
