About The Position

Transcend is seeking a Director of Accounting to direct accounting operations and oversee the accounting team. The role is responsible for organizational compliance with US GAAP standards, internal governance, and financial audits, and provides critical reporting to leadership while partnering with leaders across operational functions. This is a remote, exempt, full-time position based in the United States. Pacific Standard Time working hours are preferred. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance. Candidates must have valid work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of SaaS and ASC 606.
• Valid work authorization in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
• Experience working at an Accounting Services Firm.

Responsibilities

• Scale reporting infrastructure and continuously improve existing systems to increase efficiencies, automate processes, and improve reporting timelines.
• Manage end-of-period closes, audit preparation, treasury operations, and tax compliance.
• Establish documented controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and corporate accounting principles in compliance with US GAAP.
• Coordinate with external auditors to support annual audit procedures.
