Director of Accounting and FP&A (PEAKS Renewables)

Summit Utilities Inc•Fayetteville, AR
•Hybrid

About The Position

The Director of Accounting & FP&A will establish and lead Peaks Renewables’ accounting and financial planning and analysis function. The role will build processes, controls, and systems that enable timely, accurate financial reporting for the company’s renewable natural gas project portfolio. The Director will own GAAP-compliant financial statements and monthly close for project entities and the consolidated platform, help lead implementation of SAP, and oversee budgeting, budget-to-actual analysis, and reforecasting. The role is the primary finance partner to parent company Summit Utilities, aligning Peaks’ accounting, planning, and reporting with Summit’s standards while accommodating Peaks’ unregulated, project-based business. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Director will design the function and initially perform much of the work directly, then scale the team and systems as Peaks grows through development and acquisitions. The role requires understanding the financial and commercial drivers of the RNG business—including environmental attribute markets, federal tax credit programs, and project finance—and communicating financial insight to Peaks and Summit leadership, lenders, and other stakeholders. The position is hybrid and may be based in Maine or Arkansas; remote work is available to candidates located in Texas.
