About The Position

The Director, Occupational Medicine maintains and grows the occupational medicine service line, providing coordinated leadership across administration and operations. The leader establishes effective strategies for programs, products, and processes with the goal of increasing service line growth, efficiency, and customer experience. The leader manages all Occupational Medicine implementation tasks for new clinics as well as new clients. This position is responsible for supporting the mission and maintaining a strong working relationship with staff members throughout the organization. The Director of Occupational Medicine will maintain frequent contact with vendors, patients and community organizations when indicated.

Requirements

  • 7 years leadership in Health Care Management or Business Management
  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for service line operations for Occupational Medicine: Serve as liaison to clinicians and leadership for service line operations.
  • Promote service line efficiencies through process improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for implementing patient satisfaction initiatives for the service line.
  • Standardize processes for the service line to provide comprehensive patient care and customer service.
  • Responsible for the management of all Occupational Medicine implementation tasks including but not limited to the following: Assists with clinic modifications to accommodate Occupational Medicine services for clinics
  • Manage Occupational Medicine services for all clinical locations.
  • Assist in the management of vendor and business relationships.
  • Develop clinical workflows for staff per client need.
  • Update policies and procedures with HR and Compliance to reflect job duty and process changes within the company
  • Mediate between Occupational Medicine clients and clinical staff to ensure quality deliverables are provided.
  • Responsible for Occupational Medicine training and development in collaboration with the Education Department: Setting up the ancillary staff training schedules and training staff in drug and alcohol testing according to DOT guidelines set forth in 49CFR Part 40.
  • Assist in tracking staff training needs and time frames for completion.
  • Assist with check-off employee competencies for all occupational medicine testing.
  • Responsible for the operational management of on-site client work.
  • Assist with schedule of on-site team members.
  • Responsible for ensuring all on-site operations are meeting contractual requirements.
  • Serves as a backup to manager and on-site team member if in need of coverage.
