Director, Nursing - Inpatient Med Surg
About The Position
The Director of Nursing serves as a vital member of the executive team and oversees and enhances the delivery of high-quality patient care services within the hospital while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The position has accountability for professional nursing practice, nursing education, nursing leadership, and quality patient care in assigned areas. It collaborates with ancillary support departments, physicians, and administration to achieve identified outcomes of care and quality patient care. The role is based at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Illinois, with required travel between Endeavor entities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Master's degree in nursing, an MBA, or another healthcare-related discipline.
- CPR certification.
- Five years of progressive healthcare management experience.
- Proven success with program planning, complex problem solving, and advancing nursing practice in a collaborative model.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Board certification is preferred.
- Experience managing programs and staff to enhance quality, control costs, maintain a customer focus, and effectively lead managers and clinical staff.
