The Director Nursing Services is responsible for the coordination and administration of all operational aspects to provide effective quality care for patients. This role involves planning and directing administrative and operational functions to maximize patient revenues, attract new patients, and meet regulatory requirements. The Director also prepares and administers departmental budgets, monitors productivity, and facilitates the care management process. They identify and implement operational efficiency improvements and assume 24-hour accountability for daily clinical and administrative functions. Additionally, the role involves the development and implementation of strategic plans that align with Advocate Health Care and Advocate Christ Medical Center's Mission, Values, Philosophy, and Strategic Plans. This includes developing and implementing long and short-range goals, policies, and procedures, facilitating patient-focused care through research, and integrating departmental functions. The Director also manages the development and implementation of business plans, oversees the compilation of statistical information, and develops and maintains collaborative relationships with department managers, physicians, and external contacts. They are responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards that adhere to quality management and external guidelines, and for promoting professional and personal growth and development. Finally, the Director leads division initiatives for customer and associate satisfaction.
