Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Director Nursing Perioperative Services at Mercy San Juan Medical Center you will be responsible for surgical service departments including OR, Pre-op, PACU, GI, and SPD, as well as procedural service departments including Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology Lab. Many surgical specialties are supported, including cardiac, vascular, thoracic, neuro, ortho, GYN, bariatrics, urological, gastroenterology, as well as general surgery. We have 11 Operating Rooms, inluding 1 CVOR, and utilize the latest technologies and equipment such as the daVinci robotic system. On average we perform 650 surgical cases each month. You will direct the operations, work with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives, and work with your front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in very fast paced environments. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care. We are looking for an experienced director, with a track record of success in mid to large sized hospitals overseeing inpatient Perioperative services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
