The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is seeking an experienced Director of Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier Programs (NCO & Soldier Programs). This is a civilian position and does not require military experience. The position will report directly to the Vice President, NCO & Soldier Programs. AUSA offers a 37.5-hour work week with a shortened workday on Fridays and a hybrid remote work schedule. This role is a principal assistant in the planning, direction, and oversight of the operations and fiscal health of the Directorate of Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier Programs. The Director serves as a liaison officer and membership promotion representative to the association's 122 chapters and all global Army units. This role requires approximately 90 days of travel annually to report on association activities, develop new members, and improve chapter operations. The travel itinerary demands flexibility and knowledge about the association, current legislation, and Army components impacting soldiers and their families. The Director maintains a communication network with Army leaders, chapter leaders, soldiers, families, DOD civilians, retired soldiers, veterans, and friends of the Army.
