About The Position

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Director for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This role involves providing the highest quality of care for patients, contributing to the Division's research, clinical, and training programs. As a Pulmonary Hypertension specialist and Critical Care physician, you will deliver state-of-the-art therapy, teach students and trainees about pulmonary and critical care physiology and medicine, and mentor individuals. A key aspect of the role is educating patients about cutting-edge treatments for critical care. The Institute for Critical Care Medicine (ICCM) at Mount Sinai Health System is a leading Critical Care Organization with a large Critical Care Training Program, overseeing all aspects of critical care within the Health System. As an ICCM Intensivist, you will provide top-tier critical care across the Mount Sinai Health System, teach and mentor the next generation of critical care professionals, and develop innovative research initiatives.

  • Faculty member of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
  • Intensivist and Researcher with diverse clinical backgrounds.
  • Commitment to excellence in delivering outstanding patient care in critical care medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the best quality of care for patients.
  • Contribute to the Division's research, clinical, and training programs.
  • Provide outstanding, state-of-the-art therapy to patients as a Pulmonary Hypertension specialist and Critical Care physician.
  • Teach students and trainees the concepts of pulmonary and critical care physiology and medicine.
  • Mentor students and trainees in the art and science of medicine.
  • Educate patients about cutting-edge treatments for critical care.
  • Provide top-tier critical care across the Mount Sinai Health System, spanning both ICU environments and broader hospital services.
