Purpose: The Director, MedTech Trade Operations – North America provides strategic direction and operational oversight for Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech trade operations across the U.S., including Southern Border (Maquila Mexico) and Canada activity. This leader is accountable for developing and executing the long‑term strategic roadmap for MedTech North America trade operations, driving flawless execution of day to day operations, strengthening functional capabilities, optimizing resources, and driving strategic programs to harmonize trade compliance operational requirements to a consistent, high‑performing model. This position also serves as a primary business senior interface to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for MedTech, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as applicable, customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, 3PLs, maquila partners, port authorities, and other governmental entities. The role ensures rigorous Importer/Exporter of Record (IOR/EOR) compliance in US territory and leads the end‑to‑end lifecycle management of Special Regimes that might impact US jurisdiction to safeguard supply continuity and minimize financial exposure. The Director, MedTech Trade Operations – North America has executive presence and strategic clarity to mobilize teams, navigates effectively across multicultural and geographically diverse environments, makes data‑driven decisions that enhance performance and reduce risk, and drives transformational change by establishing robust processes, clear accountability, and governance that deliver measurable operational and compliance results.
