APC Director, Medical Specialties (Bay Area, CA)
About The Position
Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Director for Medical Specialties and Continuum of Care. This role provides operational and clinical leadership for Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) across medical specialties and continuum of care service lines. The Director will partner with physician and operational leadership to design and implement high-performing care delivery models that optimize APC scope of practice and support collaborative care delivery. This position drives initiatives that improve access, quality, patient experience, and financial performance across programs. The Director will also mentor and support APC leaders and emerging leaders. This is a hybrid role that combines leadership responsibilities with clinical practice within one of the following specialties: Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Weight Management, Travel Medicine, Dermatology, Sleep Medicine, Psychiatry, Urgent Care, Integrative Medicine, Hospital Medicine.
Requirements
- 2 years related experience
- Current California State NP or PA License
- CAPA Controlled Substance Certification (for Physician Assistants only)
- Current Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (for Nurse Practitioners only)
- Nurse Practitioner furnishing number of NP's
- Active DEA registration
