About The Position

The Director, Marketing Operations & Technology owns the systems, data, automation infrastructure, and technology strategy that power isolved's marketing and sales development engine. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across the marketing technology stack, ensuring data integrity and actionable analytics, and building AI-powered capabilities that create measurable competitive advantage. Working closely with the Demand Generation, Growth Marketing, and RevOps teams, this leader ensures that marketing platforms, processes, and data serve as strategic assets rather than just infrastructure. This role requires a systems thinker who can connect platform architecture to pipeline outcomes through strong analytics, process design, and technology vision.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology, or revenue operations roles.
  • Proven ownership of a marketing technology stack in a B2B or SaaS environment, with deep HubSpot expertise or equivalent platform experience and the ability to translate across platforms.
  • Experience managing or directing technical resources, including platform administrators and engineers.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience building attribution models and tying marketing operations to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and execute a MarTech strategy, including vendor evaluation, integration architecture, and build versus buy decisions.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in a marketing context, with the ability to evaluate technical feasibility and direct engineering resources toward high-impact use cases.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with demand generation, sales operations, web, and analytics teams.
  • Strong data governance instincts, with a default toward clean data and documented processes.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of direct experience, with 8+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing technology stack, defining and executing the MarTech strategy across the full ecosystem, including HubSpot, enrichment tools, intent platforms, attribution, and emerging technologies.
  • Lead vendor evaluation, selection, and integration to ensure a rationalized, cost-effective stack with clear ROI.
  • Establish and enforce platform governance standards, including naming conventions, data hygiene protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • Build and maintain the MarTech roadmap, identifying opportunities to consolidate, automate, or enhance capabilities across the stack.
  • Oversee two HubSpot administrators, ensuring the platform operates as a strategic asset rather than a ticket queue.
  • Own lifecycle stage architecture, lead scoring models, automation workflows, and campaign operations within HubSpot.
  • Manage the marketing to sales handoff, including lead routing, SLA enforcement, MQL and SQL definitions, and pipeline hygiene.
  • Partner with IT, RevOps, and Sales Enablement to ensure the CRM serves both marketing and sales without creating friction or data conflicts.
  • Lead the marketing analytics function, building attribution models and reporting frameworks that clearly demonstrate marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue.
  • Provide leadership with actionable insights on funnel performance, channel effectiveness, and optimization opportunities.
  • Partner with RevOps and Finance to ensure clean attribution models and reliable, trusted reporting.
  • Translate data into strategic recommendations that inform campaign investment, resource allocation, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Set the vision and roadmap for AI and machine learning capabilities within the marketing operations function, including predictive lead scoring, intelligent segmentation, content personalization, and automated campaign optimization.
  • Direct a dedicated AI engineer, translating business needs into technical requirements and prioritizing initiatives by impact.
  • Identify and pilot emerging AI applications that create measurable efficiency gains or conversion improvements across the marketing engine.
  • Evaluate build versus buy decisions for AI capabilities, balancing speed to value against long-term strategic differentiation.
  • Own data quality standards across marketing systems, including import and export protocols, deduplication, and enrichment processes.
  • Establish and enforce integration hygiene standards to ensure clean data flows between platforms.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure marketing data practices meet privacy requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM.
  • Serve as the accountable owner for the integrity of the data that marketing decisions depend on.
  • Work closely with Growth Marketing and Demand Generation to ensure platforms and processes support campaign execution at scale.
  • Partner with Web Strategy to align marketing automation with site experiences and conversion optimization.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to define and maintain the operational seam between marketing and sales, ensuring leads move through the funnel without friction.
