About The Position

Regeneron is seeking a Director of U.S. Market Access Strategy for Neurology. This role involves developing and implementing strategies and tactics to ensure optimal reimbursement and market access for a novel siRNA C5 inhibitor for generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) and future Neurology indications. The individual will work autonomously in setting Neurology market access strategy, bringing deep expertise in market access strategy and payer marketing. This role will represent Market Access on the Neurology franchise leadership team, influencing franchise-level investment and portfolio decisions. Major responsibilities include new indication development, price and contracting strategy, payer value proposition and positioning, sales force pull-through tactics, partner engagement, patient and physician services coordination, HEOR initiatives, and public affairs alignment. Duties involve close collaboration with the Executive Director, Market Access and cross-functional teams including brand marketing, sales, field reimbursement, patient support services, health economics & outcomes, medical, market research, trade, account management, and new product development to ensure strategic alignment. The role also requires collaboration with market access strategy counterparts across other Regeneron brands. The Senior Director will work closely with global counterparts, co-leading global market access strategy alignment and ensuring US launch findings inform global strategy and vice versa.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum
  • 12+ years of progressive industry relevant professional experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a market access functional role, payer account management, brand marketing, field sales/reimbursement management, or HEOR is preferred
  • 3+ years of market access strategy and payer marketing experience is strongly preferred
  • Direct experience working for a managed care health plan or PBM is highly desirable
  • Must have strong knowledge of the payer and HTA landscape and current trends
  • Experience in specialty products and specialty product launches required
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence/lobby internal and affiliate decision-makers

Nice To Haves

  • MBA/MHA or other graduate level program such as PharmD preferred
  • Experience in Neurology, Rare Disease, or Neuromuscular diseases is strongly preferred; gMG experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of patient/physician hub services and specialty pharmacy networks a plus

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and/or aligning the annual strategic and tactical business plan for US and Global markets across gMG and future Neurology indications
  • Implementing both short-term and long-term payer/HTA strategies and tactics in support of developing and driving tactics to support marketing efforts
  • Leading payer and key partner market access research initiatives, both within the Neurology therapeutic area as well as franchise-wide initiatives, and translating insights into portfolio level investment recommendations for franchise and enterprise leadership
  • Leading the development and implementation of indication initiatives including the payer value story for gMG and pipeline Neurology indications, field training and pull-through programs, clinical and economic customer education materials, and market access programs
  • Developing field-level data tools and analytic capabilities to enhance local business planning and execution effectiveness
  • Managing promotional budgets and developing metrics to measure return on investment against key initiatives
  • Managing internal processes such as promotional review committee submissions and advisory board coordination
  • Providing market access strategy input into pipeline and business development/licensing due diligence for Neurology assets
