Temple University's Health Sciences Campus (HSC) is searching for a Director, Maintenance and Operations. This role reports to the Associate Vice President for Facilities, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Utilities. The Health Sciences Center Operations and Maintenance division director directs the Facilities Management function, overseeing Regulatory Compliance (including The Joint Commission and Pennsylvania Department of Health), Fire & Life-Safety Management, and ensuring efficient planning, operations, and preservation of all properties, systems, and equipment constituting the Temple University Health Sciences Center (HSC) Campus. The Director is responsible for the work outcomes of the HSC Operations and Maintenance Division, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and implementation. This includes managing mechanical and building trade functions such as stationary engineering, BAS, plumbing, electric, fire, HVAC & Refrigeration, carpentry, painting, locksmith, and general mechanics. The Director will lead the planning, organizing, and directing of maintenance and repair for University buildings and structures, including electrical and mechanical systems, and utility systems (steam generation/distribution, chilled water generation/distribution, domestic water, electricity, gas, and sanitary sewage). The role emphasizes responsive, timely, and thorough responses to the needs of the University and hospital communities, with a focus on cooperation and liaison with Hospital and University personnel. Other duties as assigned.
