The Director, IT – ERP & Enterprise Business Applications provides strategic, operational, technical, and people leadership for UC Health’s enterprise business application portfolio. The role is primarily responsible for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, including Human Capital Management (HCM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Financials, and also oversees key related platforms such as Tecsys, Agiloft Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), and Time & Attendance, Staffing, and Scheduling systems. This leader serves as a critical technology partner to functional and operational leaders across Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain, the Project Management Office (PMO), and other Digital Health Services (DHS) teams. The Director is accountable for aligning application strategy and roadmaps with business priorities, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations, delivering enhancements and transformation initiatives, and enabling effective integration between ERP/business applications and other clinical, financial, workforce, data, and enterprise platforms. The Director will build and lead a high-performing applications organization, strengthen internal capabilities, optimize vendor and consulting relationships, and drive standardization, automation, application stability, data quality, integration maturity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered consistent with organizational requirements.
  • 10+ years of progressive Information Technology experience, including significant leadership responsibility.
  • 5+ years leading enterprise application, ERP, HRIS, financial, supply chain, or related business application teams.
  • Significant experience supporting and leading Oracle ERP environments; Oracle Fusion Cloud experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple Oracle business domains such as HCM, Financials, and SCM.
  • Demonstrated experience managing application implementations, enhancements, production support, integrations, vendors, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong business relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and functional teams.
  • Enterprise and strategic thinking with the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes.
  • Strong executive communication, influence, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to lead across organizational boundaries and drive alignment among HR, Finance, Supply Chain, PMO, DHS, vendors, and technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, SCM, and Financials in a complex enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (HCM, SCM, and Financials), Tecsys, Agiloft Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Time & Attendance, Staffing and Scheduling, and other assigned enterprise business applications.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functional leaders to translate business priorities into technology roadmaps, investments, and measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure application strategies support enterprise architecture, cloud, security, data, integration, automation, and digital transformation priorities.
  • Evaluate Oracle capabilities, quarterly updates, emerging technologies, AI/automation opportunities, and industry best practices to improve business processes and user experience.
  • Drive rationalization and standardization of the enterprise business application portfolio and reduce unnecessary customization and technical debt.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive, functional, and operational leaders across HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and other business areas.
  • Serve as the primary IT leadership partner for assigned ERP and enterprise business application domains, providing clear guidance on capabilities, risks, dependencies, priorities, and investment decisions.
  • Work closely with the PMO and other DHS leaders to establish priorities, resource plans, governance, delivery expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making where business processes span multiple functions or technology platforms.
  • Communicate application performance, roadmap progress, risks, issues, and major decisions to executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership for the configuration, enhancement, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and support of Oracle Fusion HCM, SCM, and Financials.
  • Ensure effective planning, testing, change management, release management, and business readiness for Oracle quarterly updates and major application changes.
  • Oversee Tecsys, Agiloft Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), and workforce management applications, including Time & Attendance, Staffing, and Scheduling, ensuring alignment with operational, business process, and integration requirements.
  • Establish disciplined intake, prioritization, and delivery processes for enhancements, projects, defects, and production support.
  • Promote adoption of delivered platform capabilities and sound configuration practices before pursuing customization.
  • Provide leadership for integrations between Oracle Fusion, Tecsys, Agiloft CLM, workforce management systems, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, integration, data, security, infrastructure/cloud, and application teams to establish scalable, secure, and supportable integration patterns.
  • Guide API, middleware, interface, file-transfer, and data-exchange strategies and reduce fragile point-to-point integrations where practical.
  • Ensure integration monitoring, ownership, documentation, error handling, and support processes are clearly defined.
  • Partner with data and business teams to improve data quality, master data governance, reporting reliability, and downstream use of ERP data.
  • Ensure stable, reliable, secure, and high-performing operation of Oracle Fusion and related enterprise business applications.
  • Establish and monitor service levels, operational metrics, application health measures, incident trends, backlog, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead major incident resolution and proactive problem management for assigned applications, with clear root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ensure appropriate controls, security practices, access governance, audit support, disaster recovery/business continuity, and regulatory compliance are incorporated into application operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in support processes, documentation, monitoring, automation, and service delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers, analysts, developers, integration resources, and application support professionals.
  • Assess organizational capabilities and create workforce and succession plans that address Oracle Fusion, integration, product ownership, and business-domain skill needs.
  • Build internal expertise and reduce unnecessary dependence on external consultants while maintaining access to specialized expertise when needed.
  • Establish clear accountability, performance expectations, career development, and competency frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, customer service, transparency, ownership, continuous learning, and measurable results.
  • Lead strategic relationships with Oracle, Tecsys, Agiloft, workforce management vendors, implementation partners, and other technology/service providers.
  • Hold vendors and consulting partners accountable for quality, cost, timelines, knowledge transfer, and contractual commitments.
  • Manage application budgets, licensing, consulting spend, resource plans, and forecasts in partnership with DHS and business leadership.
  • Evaluate insourcing, outsourcing, managed services, and staff augmentation approaches based on capability, cost, risk, and long-term sustainability.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize licensing, support models, vendor services, and total cost of ownership.
