We are seeking a strategic and visionary Director, Global IT Commercial Solutions to help shape the future of our commercial technology landscape and drive business growth through innovative digital solutions. The Opportunity - this will be a hybrid role in San Diego, CA. As the Director of Global IT Commercial Solutions, you will define and execute the technology strategy that powers Hologic's global commercial operations. Partnering closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Commercial Operations, and IT, you will lead the roadmap, delivery, and optimization of platforms that drive customer engagement, revenue growth, and operational excellence. This highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives while leading a global team of technology professionals and strategic partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive IT experience, including significant experience supporting commercial, sales, marketing, or customer-facing functions.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing global or cross-functional teams.
- Proven success leading CRM, CPQ, eCommerce, and marketing technology implementations at scale.
- Experience supporting end-to-end commercial processes including lead management, forecasting, pricing, quote-to-order, customer success, and digital marketing.
- Strong background leading large-scale digital transformation and systems integration initiatives within global organizations.
- Deep knowledge of CRM, CPQ, eCommerce, marketing automation, and customer analytics platforms.
- Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of integration technologies, analytics platforms, and commercial data ecosystems.
- Familiarity with AI, workflow automation, RPA, and emerging technologies supporting commercial operations.
- Knowledge of security, governance, compliance, and data privacy requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree (MBA, MS Information Systems, or equivalent) preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Salesforce, PMP, Agile/Scrum, or Microsoft Dynamics are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the global Commercial Solutions technology strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with Hologic's growth objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-driven capabilities, to enhance commercial effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Drive global process standardization while supporting regional market and regulatory requirements.
- Define the future-state commercial application ecosystem and lead modernization initiatives, including legacy platform consolidation and transformation efforts.
- Ensure seamless integration between commercial, finance, supply chain, and operational systems.
- Own and oversee key commercial platforms ensuring scalability, reliability, and business value.
- Deliver end-to-end technology solutions using Agile methodologies, from requirements gathering through deployment and adoption.
- Lead integrations across CRM, CPQ, Marketing Automation, eCommerce, Customer Service, and enterprise platforms.
- Enable critical commercial capabilities including forecasting, pricing, territory management, contract lifecycle management, customer onboarding, and service operations.
- Champion intuitive, customer-centric digital experiences that increase productivity and user adoption.
- Serve as the trusted IT advisor to global commercial leadership teams.
- Translate business strategies and go-to-market objectives into actionable technology initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation, analytics, process optimization, and AI-powered innovation.
- Drive governance, communication, and change management across major transformation programs.
- Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams to deliver actionable commercial insights and reporting capabilities.
- Build, develop, and mentor a global team of solution architects, analysts, developers, and support professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage strategic relationships with software vendors, systems integrators, and managed service providers.
- Lead technology evaluations, vendor selection processes, and platform investment decisions.
- Establish KPIs and SLAs to measure system performance, service quality, adoption, and project success.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements governing customer and commercial data.
- Manage budgets, vendor contracts, licensing, and technology investments.
- Develop ROI-driven business cases that demonstrate measurable impact on revenue growth, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
