This role is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and operation of applications within the revenue cycle application scope. This includes documenting and evaluating current systems, recommending and justifying improved systems, contributing to priorities for system implementation, staffing resources, and developing the conceptual design for each improved application. The position ensures that applications are designed and interfaced to satisfy users, and that all information is maintained, accessible, and integrated for both providers and users. The Director is the primary contact for operational leadership in the corresponding application area and is responsible for executing and reporting on all phases of system applications according to the long-range systems plan and conceptual design. This includes communicating with various users, committees, and affiliates regarding system plans, designs, and project status, as well as consulting with users to identify, evaluate, and formulate strategies for application improvements. The role also involves managing and supporting changes/enhancements, ensuring proper analysis, testing, change management, and user input processes are followed. Additionally, the Director assists with managing hardware, software, and consultant contracts, establishes and maintains vendor relationships, and oversees information systems processes to support the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives. Human resources responsibilities include staff management, development, performance evaluation, and employee relations. The Director also develops and recommends budgets and controls expenditures, and ensures adherence to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct.
