About The Position

The Director, Investment Product will be responsible for product development, management, strategy, and advocacy for Fidelity’s direct private equity investment products with the goal of developing a strategy to retain and grow assets under management. The Director will partner with the investment teams to understand and articulate product design, investment approaches and positioning across the products. Likewise, the Director will work cross functionally, including with the investment team, distribution channel partners, marketing, product governance, legal, compliance, and others, to ensure that the product lines continue to meet evolving customer needs through innovation, product development and pricing.

Requirements

7+ years of experience working in the financial services industry.
Knowledge of and interest in investments with equity experience a plus
Deep understanding of retail, intermediary, and institutional distribution channels and their specific client needs and competitor sets.
Strong educational credentials: CFA, MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred.
Series 7 & 63 licenses (can be obtained while in role).
Innovative and strategic problem solver with a passion for investment products and a deep understanding of the evolving competitive environment.
Proven experience with the development and product management for mutual funds, ETFs, indexes, insurance products, separately managed accounts, and institutional vehicles.
Highly effective communicator with excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Exhibits a strong track record of collaborating with others and working effectively in a team environment to meet customer needs and deliver business results.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while producing high quality work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Providing subject matter expertise on multiple equity investment products.
Representing the product design, philosophy, process, resources, and results to internal and external clients
Creating and enhancing investment content for product positioning in collaboration with both the investment and marketing teams.
Researching and identifying product development opportunities and subsequently developing business cases to support promising new product initiatives.
Identifying opportunities to reposition or enhance existing products or underlying investments to improve longer-term marketability.
Contributing to the long-term strategic product plan to capitalize on emerging trends and themes in collaboration with the broader product team.
Demonstrating leadership to propose and drive various cross-team projects.
