The International Market Access & Pricing (IMAP) Team leads the market access strategies and planning for pipeline as well as on market products. This role will leverage your clinical understanding, expertise of Evidence Based Medicine, alongside deep global payer knowledge, and competitive insights to shape Phase II/III clinical development programs for pre-launch compounds. The IMAP director, PD and Psychosis reports to the VP IMAP, Neuroscience and is accountable for developing the Global Integrated Access Strategy (IAS) for the Parkinson’s Disease and Psychosis portfolio focused on Pricing, Reimbursement and Access (PRA) consistent with the commercial strategy. This includes leading the VAT on creation/maintenance of core payer materials, support of HTA submissions, and optimization of payer evidence generation. The role also involves identifying and managing competitive opportunities/threats from a market access perspective for the Psychiatry and Parkinson’s portfolio, leading the development of Global IASs for pipeline assets, and developing/maintaining the Payer Value Story for all assets/indications in the assigned portfolio. The Director will lead a team of direct reports to develop compelling core Payer materials based on deep payer insights and assess/challenge key market access assumptions as part of the Financial Planning Process. The role also requires collaborative work with Area and Affiliates to customize approaches. The ideal candidate will support the global effort to integrate payer value messages for the assigned portfolio into our clinical and evidence-base assessments and develop key market access deliverables in line with Abbvie's PIVOTAL PRA Excellence framework and the asset playbook. At appropriate, ensure Global, Area and Affiliate implementation of the Abbvie launch readiness to achieve PRA, with a focus on all International markets (EU5, CA, BR, RU, CH, JP). The role requires providing input into clinical development programs to ensure endpoints are incorporated that will optimize price, reimbursement and ultimately patient access globally. Proactively ensure reimbursement considerations are incorporated into global market access strategy as well as multi-functional therapeutic and product assessments throughout key clinical development milestones and strategic commercial decisions. Generate initial global payer value propositions for new products that are aligned with the product’s total emerging value proposition and the product’s target product profile (TPP). Collaborate with GHEOR, Clinical Evidence & Outcomes (CE&O) team, policy, International Marketing & Commercial Operations, Pipeline Commercial Strategy, Area market access and other functions, to ensure solid understanding of global payer markets and emerging stakeholders in the reimbursement area. The role also includes maintaining therapeutic area specific department budgetary activities.
