About The Position

Neo is seeking a Director, Inside Sales to build and optimize a high-performing inbound sales function. This role focuses on transforming an existing team of product experts into a growth engine that drives customer stickiness, deepens product adoption, and increases revenue from the existing customer base. The position is responsible for designing and owning the inside sales strategy, including the sales model, operating rhythm, measurement infrastructure, and playbooks. Success requires close collaboration with CX Operations, Lifecycle, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure a data-driven, compliant, and integrated sales motion. Neo is a rapidly scaling fintech company, recognized for its growth and innovative products.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in inside sales, inbound sales, or sales strategy roles.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and optimizing sales functions.
  • Proven ability to design sales operating models, playbooks, and measurement frameworks, ideally in an environment where the selling team was not originally hired as a sales team.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through leaders and teams without direct ownership.
  • Experience designing and executing cross-sell and upsell programs within an established consumer base.
  • Experience evaluating and deploying modern sales technology, including AI tools, lead scoring, outreach automation, and conversation intelligence.
  • Deep familiarity with sales funnel metrics and the ability to use data for strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability to work across teams and align sales strategy without formal authority.

  • Experience in fintech, banking, Telecom or subscription/multi-product consumer businesses.
  • Experience building sales capability within an operations or service-first team.
  • Track record growing active customers and product adoption (not just net-new acquisition).

Responsibilities

  • Build the Inside Sales Infrastructure: Design the operating model, playbooks, KPIs, compensation philosophy, and technology stack.
  • Own the Revenue Strategy: Define and drive the inside sales strategy, with accountability for revenue growth, multi-product adoption, active customer growth, referrals, and credit progression.
  • Lead Through Influence: Provide strategic direction, tools, and frameworks to existing team leaders who manage the day-to-day coaching and performance of product experts.
  • Drive Multi-Product Growth: Develop the approach for identifying and converting cross-sell and upsell opportunities within Neo's existing customer base.
  • Transform Through Technology: Identify and implement technology solutions, including AI-assisted tools, to improve conversion rates and sales efficiency.
  • Execute Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Lifecycle, Marketing, and CX Operations to ensure seamless integration of the inside sales motion with the broader customer journey.
  • Measure and Optimize: Build and own the performance measurement framework, tracking key sales metrics and using data for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver Upstream Insights: Provide consistent feedback to Product, Marketing, and CX on customer responses and operational or product gaps.
