About The Position

As The Director, Impact & Inclusion you will be part of the HR and Impact & Inclusion team working as a remote/hybrid employee. You will play a critical role in advancing Stanley Black & Decker’s inclusion and culture agenda. Reporting to the Chief Impact and Inclusion Officer, this leader will partner closely to design, drive, and execute strategies, programs, and policies that foster a culture of inclusion, support organizational performance, and enable large-scale change initiatives. The Director will collaborate across HR and business teams to embed inclusion into daily operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in change management and the ability to flex between strategy, operationalization, and execution, including leading or supporting culture transformation and significant organizational change efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in inclusion, culture, change management, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-wide strategies and programs.
  • Experience building and delivering learning and development initiatives for HR and people leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in program measurement and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated agility and adaptability in dynamic, matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Chief Impact and Inclusion Officer to implement the company’s inclusion and culture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term vision.
  • Stay informed on relevant trends and best practices to inform program and policy development.
  • Design and execute scalable programs and policies that advance inclusion across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing curriculum to elevate HR business partner and generalist knowledge and skills, enabling them to operationalize inclusion in their roles to drive business performance.
  • Assess organizational learning and change opportunities; deliver initiatives that build people leader capabilities to foster inclusive teams, support innovation and drive results.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to HR and business leaders on inclusion, culture and related topics.
  • Track and report on key metrics to measure program effectiveness and progress toward inclusion and culture goals; communicate results and insights to stakeholders.
  • Cultivate partnerships with internal stakeholders to amplify the company’s inclusion and culture efforts.
  • Operate autonomously within defined scope, shifting seamlessly between strategy, operationalization, and execution.
