The Ambulatory Imaging Services Director provides administrative oversight for the Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Service Line, working in partnership with modality leaders and health system business unit leaders. The Director serves as the primary point of contact for the ambulatory imaging leadership team and is responsible for ensuring that established service-level standards are met. In collaboration with Radiology leadership, the Director supports and executes strategic initiatives under the overall direction of the health system executive team. The role has dotted-line accountability to the business unit Chief Operating Officer (COO) and works cross-functionally to align and advance health system, service line, and business unit standards and goals. The Director designs and oversees administrative operations across multiple clinical professional services and is accountable for the overall administrative planning and coordination of human, fiscal, and material resources. This includes establishing operational objectives and action plans and supporting the development and implementation of new policies and programs. The Director also provides oversight of regulatory compliance, quality, and safety initiatives and reviews recommendations for new programs. The Director leads a team of four Site Managers as direct reports and indirectly oversees 15 Supervisors across the ambulatory imaging operation. The UCSF Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services (including diagnostic and body/neuro interventional radiology). These services are offered at 15 sites throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area, with additional growth ongoing.
