About The Position

We Protect Those Who Protect Us. Join us in BAE's Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) Business Area as the leader of Operations for the Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) Product Line. In this product line you will be supporting next-generation countermeasures to help aircraft answer evolving threats. As the Director of Operations you will partner with ACES leadership to ensure Operations aspects of programs in the portfolio are executed successfully while also being a key leadership team contributor towards achieving the Product Line's Integrated Business Plan. You will oversee strategy, proposal preparation, planning, coordination, and execution of all manufacturing operations to ensure delivery of quality products to prime government customers. You will create capacity and capability plans, for current and forecasted work and provide strategic leadership with emphasis on long range planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain
  • Executive presence with an ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree with experience leading Operations or Supply Chain in the Aerospace & Defense Industry
  • Ability to work in a matrixed team environment and manage a portfolio of multiple projects concurrently
  • Strategic and creative thinking with the ability to build business cases to positively influence business and functional direction

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of the Operations Program Managers - including staffing, budgeting, planning, new product introduction, and manufacturing execution
  • Set departmental goals and objectives in support of the ACES Product Line business plan
  • Develop long-range planning for utilization of the manufacturing facilities
  • Mentor, develop, and inspire staff while building a robust leadership succession pipeline
  • Ensure that all operations are conducted in conformance with all quality, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Ensure that the products produce meet all required specification requirements and are delivered on time
  • Drive Operations continuous improvement within the Product Line
