About The Position

The Director of Identity Data & Workflow Engineering leads the engineering strategy and delivery of identity data services, workflow automation, and cross-product IAM APIs across the Enterprise Identity and Access Management (EIAM) ecosystem. This role owns the engineering capabilities that power identity request workflows, privileged account inventory, global directory services, and the API layer that enables consistent, secure access to IAM capabilities across the enterprise. Identity data and workflow engineering is foundational to delivering secure, efficient, and scalable identity services. The quality and accessibility of identity data — and the workflows and APIs that act on it — directly determine how quickly the organization can onboard users, detect risk, and respond to regulatory demands. This leader will build and operate the platforms that turn identity data into a strategic asset and provide a trusted foundation for downstream consumers including controls, reporting, governance, and emerging AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years software/platform engineering; 5+ years leading engineering teams in Identity and Access Management
  • Hands-on leadership with directory services (Radiant Logic, Active Directory, Entra ID) and identity workflow platforms (ServiceNow, SailPoint)
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale identity data, integration, and API platforms
  • Experience managing multi-layer engineering organizations (senior managers and individual contributors)
  • Knowledge of banking/financial services regulatory landscape (FRB, Part 30, OSFI); experience designing identity platforms meeting regulatory and audit requirements
  • Proficiency in modern engineering practices: CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, API design/governance, automated testing, SRE
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed environments
  • Experience evolving and converging capabilities in large enterprise environments

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment methodologies
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and audit processes
  • Exposure to networking/security technologies (load balancers, firewalls, SSL certificates)
  • Background in cybersecurity, identity governance, or GRC
  • Experience with privileged account discovery, inventory tooling, and identity data virtualization
  • Knowledge of identity federation, synchronization patterns, and exposing identity data to analytics/AI-ML platforms
