About The Position

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Monday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Fridays each week. Curious how Shared Services fits into Red Ventures? Click here . Red Ventures is seeking a Director, People to support our RV Education business. This role will partner closely with the business’s senior leadership team across Puerto Rico and Charlotte to shape and execute people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. This leader will operate as the primary People partner for the business, balancing strategic influence with hands-on execution. The organization is evolving, and this role requires someone who is comfortable navigating change, bringing structure where needed, and helping leaders make thoughtful, people-centered decisions. The ideal candidate brings a strong HR generalist foundation, sound judgment, and the ability to build credibility quickly with leaders.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with strong generalist depth
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and contributing to strategic talent discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build trust across leadership levels
  • Experience operating in environments undergoing change or transformation
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment law; Puerto Rico experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with executional follow-through
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Comfortable operating in a lean environment with shifting priorities

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead People partner for RV Education, advising the senior leadership team on talent, organizational effectiveness, and team performance
  • Translate business priorities into practical, high-impact people strategies and actions
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to leaders, coaching through organizational change, performance challenges, and team dynamics
  • Lead and support core talent processes including performance management, talent calibration, and development planning
  • Provide hands-on support across employee relations, leadership coaching, compensation, and organizational design
  • Partner with centralized People teams (Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, L&D) to ensure effective execution of enterprise programs within the business
  • Navigate and support ongoing organizational evolution, helping leaders manage change with clarity and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and Puerto Rico employment laws and adapt practices to meet local requirements
  • Use data and insights to identify trends and inform decision-making
  • Lead and develop one Associate HRBP, providing guidance, coaching, and prioritization support
  • Contribute to broader People team initiatives and cross-business collaboration
