We’re excited to share a leadership opportunity for a Human Resources Director —a dynamic, driven professional who will play a critical role in the grand opening of Emerson Lakes, one of Erickson Senior Living’s most anticipated new communities in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. Emerson Lakes will be a premier, state-of-the-art continuing care retirement community designed to serve more than 1,500 residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care. This gated community will feature an impressive array of amenities, including multiple restaurants, a stunning outdoor swimming pool, a cutting-edge fitness center, an onsite medical center, and much more. Join us in shaping a thriving, engaging and high-quality living experience for the residents who will call Emerson Lakes home. The Director of Human Resources will provide leadership and establish a strategic partnership with all business lines as we open and grow this community. This role will offer guidance in several key areas: employee relations, engagement, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, talent management, and leadership development.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of management experience in Human Resources
  • Previous experience as an HR Business Partner supporting multiple business functions and managing an HR team
  • Experience working with a large, diverse workforce of both exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Proven leadership abilities, and experience with Leadership development, performance, and change management

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with enterprise-wide initiatives and foster the development of high-performing teams
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide guidance on workforce planning, talent development, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement
  • Lead complex employee relations cases that ensure a fair and inclusive work environment
  • Create employee engagement and recognition programs that promote retention and support internal growth
  • Maintain a positive work environment that helps attract, develop, and retain top talent
  • Oversee performance management processes that drive accountability, career development, and engagement
