About The Position

SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company with a diversified portfolio of lifestyle solutions. As the Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will partner with business and People & Culture (P&C) leadership to build people strategy for your client group. You will design and deliver programs that develop world-class talent, including performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, and workforce planning, alongside targeted initiatives to help business groups outperform their strategy. Your bias for action and thought leadership will position your teams to win in a fast-moving environment. You will collaborate closely with global functional leaders, regional P&C colleagues, and COEs across talent access, talent acceleration, and total rewards. This role requires an HRBP who wants to be embedded in the business, available when leaders need them. You will be the trusted advisor across organizational design, change leadership, management coaching, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy, and employment law compliance.

Requirements

  • At least 8-10 years of HR experience with a blend of business partnering and talent management/development focus, including organizational design and effectiveness, team building, performance management, career coaching, and leadership development.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for both self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines.
  • Effective working across functions and levels to deliver business results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to communicate with conviction, listen actively, and lead difficult conversations at every level.
  • Strong coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and standards.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and act with integrity and discretion.
  • Proven track record of leading through influence in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Builds long-term, trust-based relationships with senior business partners.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making; resolves complex issues with creativity and accountability.
  • Self-directed and collaborative — equally effective owning the work and partnering across the team to get to the best answer.
  • Fluency with AI and modern P&C tech (generative AI, analytics platforms, HRIS) — and a bias toward using it to scale your impact.
  • Track record of success in roles that required active, in-person business partnership.
  • Ability and willingness to be reliably present in Needham, MA a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the operations leadership, driving P&C strategies that support business objectives, foster innovation, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Build deep, sustained relationships with senior leaders through consistent presence and proactive engagement.
  • Align the P&C agenda to the corporate strategy and the key business drivers for the business unit supported.
  • Shape talent strategy for client groups, including building the leadership pipeline, running succession planning, and driving end-to-end strategic workforce planning in partnership with the business.
  • Lead change, drive P&C initiatives and process improvements end-to-end, and champion SharkNinja's culture through hiring, development, and retention of talent.
  • Coach and mentor associates at every level as an integrated member of the business unit.
  • Design the organization by partnering with leaders to build structures, processes, and cultures that drive agility and high performance.
  • Facilitate in-person workshops, leadership offsites, and team effectiveness sessions.
  • Use data to drive change by analyzing people trends, surfacing complex issues, identifying capability gaps, and recommending programs and structural changes.
  • Shape the talent development agenda by diagnosing capability gaps and partnering with the Talent Development team to design, broker, and deliver programs that close them.
  • Communicate P&C policy changes clearly across business units and champion cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee local compliance with employment law and regulations across teams and geographies.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging P&C technology to accelerate analysis, improve decision-making, and scale people programs.
  • Champion a tech-forward mindset within the P&C function and model responsible, effective use of AI in daily work.
