About The Position

Under administrative direction, plans, directs, and oversees human resources services delivered to local education agencies (LEAs) utilizing the Advantage Human Capital Management (HCM) system, including payroll processing and reporting, human resources operations, retirement reporting, and credentialing support services; oversees the effective use of the Advantage HCM application in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system across all supported agencies; and ensures that all HCM operations, system configurations, and human resources support services comply with federal and state regulations, Education Code, collective bargaining agreements, retirement system requirements, and LACOE policies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, human resources management, accounting, finance, or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Six years of experience in human resources administration or full-cycle payroll processing, including developing and implementing policies and the utilization of enterprise-level business systems.
  • Three years of the required general experience must be in a supervisory capacity.
  • A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a public agency is preferred.
  • The possession of a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM–CP) certification is desired.
