About the Role: As the Director, Head of HVS (High Value Sender) Marketing, you will own the end-to-end marketing strategy for Remitly's most strategic and complex customer segment. You will lead the transformation of how high-stakes global senders—those repatriating assets, paying international tuition, or closing on global property—perceive and utilize fintech services. Reporting to the GM of High Value Senders, you will operate as a "mini-business" lead, integrating strategies across brand, growth, and product to achieve product-market fit in this premium space. This is a high-autonomy, individual contributor role that requires expert-level influence to align cross-functional teams toward a unified "North Star" vision for financially mobile customers. This is a hybrid role requiring 3+ days working out of our Seattle, WA headquarters.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of marketing experience, with a proven track record of leading high-impact projects for financially sophisticated or premium consumer segments.
  • Demonstrated ability to define the strategic direction for a significant business area that impacts overall company direction and industry standards.
  • Expert skills in bringing clarity to highly complex initiatives where the problem space or strategy may not yet be defined.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multi-quarter plans independently with minimal executive oversight.
  • Advanced expertise in driving cross-functional architecture and marketing strategies without direct authority.
  • Fluency in leveraging data-driven insights and AI tools to inform strategy and measure success at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Define and Lead Strategy: Author the comprehensive segmentation, messaging architecture, and positioning that governs all brand and growth choices for the HVS segment.
  • Drive Executional Excellence: Own the channel mix and GTM strategy, moving beyond traditional ads to meet customers in high-trust environments like professional forums and community networks.
  • Influence Product Direction: Partner with Engineering and Product teams to ensure the marketing narrative is backed by product reality, pushing for features that meet the unique needs of premium senders.
  • Operate AI-Natively: Implement and evangelize the use of agentic toolchains and LLMs to accelerate research, analysis, and creative iteration across the marketing organization.
  • Build the Foundation: Establish planning rhythms and measurement frameworks, tracking high-impact KPIs such as LTV, share of wallet, and retention against traditional banking incumbents.
  • Champion Culture: Exemplify Remitly's Cultural Values, serving as a role model and mentor to marketers and peers across the organization.
