About The Position

Asure is seeking a Director of HCM Sales to oversee a team of Sales Executives. This role involves attracting, hiring, coaching, mentoring, and retaining high-performing Sales Executives focused on small business sales cycles, including both net new and named accounts. The Director will drive revenue through new client acquisition and current client penetration, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and performance metrics. Key responsibilities include leading, inspiring, managing, and mentoring experienced sales executives to maximize their potential and team effectiveness, fostering a culture of accountability and urgency through metrics and reporting, and developing a deep understanding of the product, technology, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape. The role also involves cultivating teamwork, supporting sales executives in all aspects of the sales process, developing accurate forecasts, partnering with sales trainers for product and competitive training, building strong relationships with key business leaders, providing market feedback to the Product team, partnering with Professional Services for seamless onboarding, and driving new sales programs. Collaboration with other senior leaders on strategic plans and objectives is also expected.

Requirements

  • Previous success as a SaaS software sales leader.
  • Payroll and HCM experience preferred with a focus on small to mid-market targets.
  • 10 + years software or SaaS sales experience with a focus on consultative solutions selling.
  • 5 + years sales management experience in a rapidly growing and fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Keen understanding of the SaaS model.
  • Sales star and master negotiator.
  • Experience working cross functionally, bridging the gap and relationships with Marketing, Product Marketing, Finance, HR etc.
  • Driven Achiever – You thrive on challenges and have a proven history of successfully leading teams to crush quotas and objectives.
  • Proven ability to recruit, train and scale against aggressive growth targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast sales results using Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Drives revenue through new client acquisition, current client penetration, meeting or exceeding all sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Leads, inspires, manages, and mentors experienced sales executives to maximize their individual potential and professional growth as well as ability to function effectively as a team.
  • Builds a culture of accountability and urgency by transparently leveraging metrics and reporting to drive the right behaviors.
  • Develops a deep understanding of our product messaging, technology platform, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
  • Cultivates an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Supports and assists sales executives with all aspects of the sales process including client presentations, proposals, contract negotiations, and final close.
  • Develops and maintains accurate forecasts.
  • Identifies topics and partners with sales trainer to plan product and competitive training sessions.
  • Builds excellent working relationships with all key business leaders, colleagues, and broader team.
  • Listens carefully to prospects and clients to provide market feedback to the Product team and help prioritize functionality needed to drive sales opportunities.
  • Partners with Professional Services team to provide new customers a seamless on-boarding experience.
  • Creatively identifies and helps drive new programs to improve the sales organization.
  • Collaborates with other senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives.
