About The Position

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director, Growth & Social Impact is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and growing mission-aligned corporate partnerships that advance the organization’s work in physical activity and health promotion. Working at the intersection of social impact, corporate engagement, and revenue generation, the position cultivates relationships with companies whose CSR, ESG, employee engagement, and community investment priorities align with the organization’s mission. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role leads all aspects of revenue generation. Responsibilities include corporate partnership growth while also supporting broader philanthropic development efforts by contributing strategic relationship opportunities, partnership intelligence, and collaborative revenue opportunities. This role is critical to scaling the organization’s ability to increase physical activity and improve health outcomes in Canada through a diversified revenue generation strategy. By unlocking strategic corporate and philanthropic partnerships, this position enables the organization to diversify revenue and expand reach, deepen impact, and build long-term sustainability.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, philanthropy, social impact, or related fields, preferably in a non-profit organization or CSR/ESG environments
  • Post secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is an asset
  • Demonstrated success securing and growing mission-aligned partnerships and contributing to diversified revenue generation
  • Experience working with corporate CSR, ESG, sponsorship, or community investment teams
  • Experience supporting philanthropic, foundation, major gifts or grant development initiatives
  • Proven experience in concept development, proposal writing, and partnership case development
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior corporate, foundation, or cross-sector stakeholders
  • Strong strategic, collaborative, and revenue-oriented leadership capabilities
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks, SDGs, and impact measurement practices
  • Experience managing pipelines, CRM and sales processes
  • Expert communication skills, both oral and written and strong presentation abilities in executive boardroom settings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of AI and automation tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in health promotion, physical activity, sport, or public health sectors is an asset
  • Fluency in French an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of a diversified revenue generation strategy aligned with organizational priorities and growth objectives
  • Supports the revenue diversification strategy by increasing non-government funding sources to 50% of overall revenue by F2028
  • Develop and grow mission-aligned corporate partnerships through CSR, ESG, sponsorship, employee engagement, and shared-value collaborations
  • Secure and steward strategic partnerships that generate sustainable revenue and measurable impact, such as provincial and territorial governments
  • Support broader revenue development by contributing to philanthropic outreach, foundation opportunities, and government grant development, in collaboration with internal leads
  • Identify opportunities to align and leverage revenue streams across corporate, philanthropic, and public funding sources
  • Identify and advance diversified earned revenue opportunities, including licensing, fee-for-service, and other mission-aligned business models.
  • Contribute market intelligence and relationship opportunities to strengthen the organization’s overall funding strategy
  • Lead development of innovative partnership concepts that align funder and partner priorities with mission impact opportunities
  • Develop compelling proposals, partnership cases for support, and funding concepts for corporate and collaborative funding opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally to design scalable opportunities that are strategically sound, feasible, and fundable
  • Lead stewardship, impact reporting, and growth strategies that strengthen retention and deepen partner engagement
  • Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to organizational strategy, growth planning, and culture building
  • Work collaboratively across projects, marketing & communications to advance integrated partnership and funding opportunities
  • Ensure partnerships and revenue opportunities reflect mission alignment, organizational priorities, and brand integrity
