Summary: The purpose of this position is to represent Pacira to key Government entities. Primary function is to communicate value and gain access to DOD/VA and Indian Health and other governmental agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Political Science, Health Policy, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including management government relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills including presentation skills to groups of all sizes
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Proven problem-solving, analytic and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel 60% plus
  • Valid driver’s license in the state in which you reside

Nice To Haves

  • PharmD, MBA, MPH or JD from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Accounting, finance, pricing skills highly desired
  • Proven VA/DOD relationships and contracting experience a plus
  • Experience with distribution technology, reporting platforms (EDI) and operational systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of Federal and Tri-Care payment models and trends

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pacira's interests and build and manage relationships of high-level influencers with the VA/DOD and Indian Health Services.
  • Expand government access of all Pacira product lines marketed through expert product proficiency, identification and maintenance of key relationships, excellent systems and account acumen and cross-functioning with internal partners.
  • Collaborate with Pacira internal partners, Sales, Marketing and Medical Affairs, to achieve business plans and provide access for clinical support.
  • Provide policy and procedure guidance to Pacira personnel working with DOD/VA and Indian Health Services to avoid infractions and maintain positive standing.
  • Intimate understanding of the ordering and approval process as relevant to DAPA, ECAT, Open Market and FSS.
  • Continuously monitor industry competition and consolidation amongst key industry hospital systems and chains, distribution, trade and payer organizations and assess impact on products.
  • Continuously maintains a compliant environment.
