Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Develop and execute state and regional government affairs strategies that advance business priorities in partnership with regional leadership teams. Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with elected officials, government agencies, policymakers, community leaders, industry associations, and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with state trade associations to influence legislative, regulatory, and policy outcomes that impact the business. Represent Heidelberg Materials North America in governmental, industry, and stakeholder forums while serving as a trusted company advocate. Provide strategic guidance to regional teams on policy positioning, advocacy initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and issue management efforts. Identify emerging legislative, regulatory, and political trends and develop proactive strategies to address opportunities and risks. Design and deliver training programs, tools, resources, playbooks, and best practices that strengthen internal advocacy and stakeholder engagement capabilities across regions. Support engagement with federal policymakers and national trade associations while ensuring alignment with company government affairs priorities and objectives. Lead stakeholder mapping, relationship management, reporting, and analytics efforts to identify key influencers, engagement opportunities, and measure advocacy effectiveness. Partner cross-functionally with legal, operations, communications, sustainability, commercial, and other business teams to align public policy strategies with business goals and provide actionable policy insights.
