The Director of SIOP is a senior leadership role responsible for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the integrated business planning process across the global enterprise. This leader aligns demand forecasting, inventory planning, and production strategies with financial forecasting to optimize working capital and meet customer expectations for EnerSys’ diverse motive power and energy systems portfolios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain or operations, with at least 5 years leading SIOP/S&OP processes in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Deep proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Baan) and planning software such as Kinaxis or Blue Yonder
  • Proven ability to act as a change agent, influencing senior executives and leading cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization

  • MBA or advanced technical degree
  • APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or similar industry certifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly SIOP/S&OP cadence, facilitating cross-functional reviews between Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance to drive consensus on a "single set of numbers".
  • Translate unconstrained 18-month demand forecasts into feasible supply and production plans while identifying capacity constraints or bottlenecks.
  • Define and implement global inventory strategies to reduce working capital, manage safety stock, and minimize obsolete materials.
  • Develop end-to-end scenario models to assess business risks and propose mitigation plans when demand exceeds capacity.
  • Present SIOP insights, risks, and financial implications to executive leadership, utilizing dashboards to track KPIs like forecast accuracy, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), and inventory turns.
  • Utilize the EnerSys Operating System (EOS) tools to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in all planning and forecasting processes.
