About The Position

The Director, RTR - Global Process Owner is a key member of the Global Business Services (GBS) team at Warner Music Group (WMG). This role reports to the SVP Finance Operations and is responsible for centrally managing the global Record-to-Report (RTR) processes. The objective is to ensure new process adoption, maturity, consistency, and adherence to standards across regional GBS Centers. The position requires strong project management skills for complex projects such as M&A integration and migration of work from local finance to GBS. The role serves as a critical liaison between M&A deal teams, business stakeholders, and GBS delivery teams, ensuring clear communication, proper scope definition, and appropriate sizing of delivery teams for migration or integration activities.

Requirements

Knowledge of and experience with SAP
Background in centralized service centers supporting financial operations for multiple legal entities spanning several business groups, regions, countries, languages, currencies, etc.
Knowledgeable on change management theory and practice
Demonstrated skills in financial process design, trouble-shooting and continuous improvement, especially in the area of record-to-report
Stakeholder engagement and management skills with an ability to build global support within complex, multi-faceted organizations around a long-term vision
Works well autonomously and as part of a team to accomplish objectives and generate deliverables in-line with the overall GBS vision and goals
Experience of working with remote teams across multiple locations

Responsibilities

Lead a team of functional Global Product Owners escalating issues or concerns to the SVP Finance Operations
Oversee system performance from a functional process owner perspective and manage functional and technical resources responsible for the system
Ensure integration points between existing systems and processes are functioning
Review and resolve issues, risks and business impacts for all RTR processes
Proactively and on an on-going basis identify internal and external best practices that will enable improvement of the standard end-to-end process
Update and maintain process flows
Manage system update delivery
Own master data and maintain data integrity
Lead ongoing Subject Matter Resource (SMR) engagement
Update and validate learning content (WalkMe, ILT, Reference Guides, etc.)
Support training delivery
Manage policy updates
Act as a change ambassador
