About The Position

The Director, Global Prostate Portfolio Commercial Lead role within the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO) will be responsible for global prostate portfolio strategy and execution of key initiatives ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives to enhance the value of our global prostate portfolio across early, launch and inline assets. The role will partner closely with key functions across the Global Commercial Strategy Organization, Johnson & Johnson Research & Development (R&D) & J&J regions, navigating a broad matrix across Prostate Cancer to shape, influence and collaborate including Global Strategic Marketing, Global Strategic Analytics, Medical Affairs, R&D, Market Access, Operations, Business Development to drive GU cancers strategy realization. The position will shape the vision of Prostate portfolio long-range strategic plan, identify critical success factors for portfolio commercialization, develop and deploy prostate portfolio level strategic initiatives that will optimize our business impact, leadership position and customer experience. The role will be reporting to Senior Director, Global GU Portfolio Strategy and be a part of GCSO GU DAS organization.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of dynamic experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years demonstrated in pre-launch & launch activities, in-line marketing, market access, marketing support, or sales management/training experience implementing marketing strategy is required.
  • An ability to handle multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, gain alignment and drive decision-making is required.
  • An ability to shape and drive asset strategy with R&D and cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, ability to master complexity and to integrate insights into strategies and actions
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and cross-geography
  • Proven track record of exceptional team & cross functional leadership
  • Strong executive, verbal and written communication skills are required, along with demonstrated presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Postgraduate qualification, PhD, MBA, or other graduate degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior Oncology/prostate cancer experience or scientific background is preferred.
  • Senior brand responsibility, product launch, experience in working with global or multi-cultural teams and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical development is preferred.
  • Significant international experience; specifically, previous working experience with different geographies; working knowledge of differing reimbursement markets is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and Lead Global prostate portfolio commercial strategy development and implementation, integrating insights and market dynamics to co-create and inform near and long-term decision making, provide broad visibility into long-term oncology portfolio implications and inform overall R&D DAS strategy
  • Prostate portfolio Enterprise Strategic Projects - Lead broad-based strategic projects with full accountability for successful project delivery and demonstrated business impact such as market shaping, launch readiness, innovative go-to-market strategies, customer engagement, internal capability uplift to drive organizational success.
  • Work independently to oversee multiple projects simultaneously; responsible for contributing to and independently developing business strategies, while working in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Collaboration & Matrix leadership across global and regional cross-functional partners (3M, R&D, NPBD) to ensure one voice in portfolio strategy development and execution, implement global strategic thinking and navigate ambiguity
  • Demonstrate strong external focus by active engagement with key stakeholders including Key Opinion Leaders and Patient Opinion Leaders
  • The qualified candidate should be an agile leader and team member who is able to lead, challenge and contribute in cross-functional teams and in a multi-cultural environment, being capable of gaining alignment and drive decision making across the broad matrix, shaping commercial strategy, with ability to understand, interpret and communicate commercial and competitive implications of technical/clinical/regulatory data.
  • This individual will interact with R&D colleagues on scientific issues, demonstrating strong leadership presence through influencing without authority with high-level management and cross-functional partners.
