Director, Global Product Development Counsel
About The Position
Working closely with R&D and the PDC teams, the R&D Counsel, Programs will have client responsibility on a broad range of company R&D related activities and serve as a dedicated strategic legal partner for a range of Biogen’s research and clinical development programs from early to late stage. The role requires seamless coordination between and among cross-functional areas within a matrixed environment. While this position may involve some general contracting work in support of R&D and PDC programs, the primary role of the R&D Counsel, Programs is to provide legal and strategic advice to its clients within R&D and the PDCs. This position is located in Biogen’s Cambridge, MA office and reports to Research & Development Counsel. Biogen is seeking an experienced healthcare attorney with a solid background in pharmaceutical research and development program work. This attorney will be a trusted partner working closely with R&D and the Product Development & Commercialization (PDC) teams advising on license and collaboration agreements, pharmacovigilance and other safety matters, data readouts and communications, regulatory submissions, label negotiations, and overall compliance with R&D regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years minimum experience in the bio/pharma life sciences department of a biotech or pharmaceutical company and 8+ years legal experience overall.
