About The Position

The Director, Global AI Industry Solutions supports global Sales, R&D, and Customer Retention in the Financial Services industry. The role uses AI, data analytics, and R&D to track market trends, shape business strategies, and translate insights into actionable plans. It guides Cloudera teams through AI-driven transformation and provides knowledge, tools, and R&D advancements to support engagement with key accounts. The position creates and manages AI-focused content, supports internal enablement and pipeline development, and helps acquire new clients through industry-specific use cases. It partners with R&D to integrate AI innovations into solutions and improve market differentiation. The role also leads internal industry communities and represents Cloudera as a subject matter expert at external events, advancing thought leadership in AI and advanced analytics for Financial Services. The Director translates Product R&D advancements into business outcomes, sales playbooks, and go-to-market strategies for Financial Services; advises key customer accounts and presents to C-level executives while maintaining technical credibility with data science and engineering teams; and collaborates with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing. The role supports high-value sales cycles with industry AI expertise, validates architectures, and helps business buyers assess ROI. It also develops AI reference architectures, technical prototypes, and MVPs for Financial Services use cases such as fraud detection, risk modeling, and generative AI compliance. The role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

10+ years of experience within the Financial Services ecosystem.
Track record of implementing AI, machine learning, or advanced data analytics solutions in a production environment.
Proven ability to build technical prototypes and design production-grade reference architectures.
Deep, hands-on familiarity with enterprise AI/ML engineering lifecycles, data orchestration, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and modern AI frameworks such as LLMs, RAG architecture, and vector databases.
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to move between technical whiteboarding and high-level business strategy presentations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a highly technical discipline.

Responsibilities

Translate Product R&D advancements into business outcomes, sales playbooks, and go-to-market strategies tailored to Financial Services.
Advise key customer accounts and deliver presentations to C-level executives while engaging technically with data science and engineering teams.
Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to align AI solutions with market dynamics and customer needs.
Provide industry-specific AI expertise during high-value sales cycles, support architecture validation, and help business buyers calculate ROI.
Represent Cloudera at global conferences, panels, and through written collateral, advancing thought leadership on AI in finance.
Design, develop, and deliver AI reference architectures, technical prototypes, and MVPs for Financial Services use cases.
Create and manage AI-focused content and support internal enablement, pipeline development, and new-client acquisition.
Work with R&D teams to integrate AI innovations into solutions and improve market differentiation.
Lead internal industry communities and support global Sales, R&D, and Customer Retention.
