Job Title: Director Fulfillment Services Company: Sally/BSG Essential Function Develops, directs and implements the domestic and international transportation strategies. Develops key partnerships with internal/external customers, and vendors resulting in effective cost-focus strategies, while proving optimal services to our stores and customers. Directs transportation strategy and identifies opportunities for process improvements. Create and sustain a customer service model that exceeds the expectations of customers. Assess and improve customer satisfaction, service delivery model and improve the bottom line. Provides support for all business units operating under Sally Beauty Holdings. Provides leadership and direction to Transportation staff and associates, and maximizes workforce utilization while promoting/fostering the SBH values. This position reports to the VP, Transportation & Logistics and will have direct reports. Primary Duties 30% Develop and manage the freight-operating budget with the goal of negotiating and selecting the best carriers at the best cost that provide the best service for the company 20% Manage regional pool distribution to support store deliveries for ½ of SBH network & Develops key partnerships with 3rd party vendors, both existing and new, leading edge organizations. Calculates return (ROI) and evaluates and recommends strategies for meeting increasing sales/volume/customer demands and timeliness/accuracy of shipments to stores and customers 20% Handle store/customer transportation on-time performance & opportunities as they occur 10% Route all inbound and outbound shipments, monitor all carrier negotiated service terms. Audit freight invoices and process carrier freight claims in accordance with contractual agreements and company ethics 10% Partners and closely coordinates with functional heads of Store Operations, Digital Operations, Planning & Allocation and senior Merchants. 5% Maintain accurate control over all store and customer shipments by complying with all ICC and Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures, including regular invoice and shipping document audits 5% Develops and prepares annual operating budget and ensures compliance. Achieves operating and financial goals and objectives. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Indicate the minimum qualifications required to perform the job: work experience (including type of work and number of years required); education (including desired degree and field of study); specify certificate or license requirements. Bachelor’s Degree 12-15 years of Traffic/Freight Management and Transportation experience in retail or similar environment Previous experience in a fast paced, high volume organization, which mandates quick decision-making and effective communication. Expansive exposure and experience in contract negotiations.
